Who is Rob Van Dam?
Who has two thumbs, scored a historic WWE Championship win in New York City and is perhaps the most popular ECW icon of all time? Say it with him now: “Rob! Van! Dam!”
When the chilled out martial artist from Battle Creek, Mich. broke into ECW in 1996, he made an impact like few grapplers ever have. Trained alongside future partner and rival Sabu by Sabu’s uncle, The Original Sheik, RVD had the sound fundamentals needed to thrive in the Land of Extreme. Van Dam’s laid back demeanor directly contradicted his agility in the squared circle, which made him an instant favorite among the Philadelphia faithful. He quickly scored victories over Axl Rotten, Mikey Whipwreck and Sabu, but it was his partnership with the latter that launched The Whole Dam Show to the next level.
By himself, RVD was innovative. With Sabu, they were revolutionary. The game-changing duo accomplished things inside (and outside) of the ring that few could have imagined. Employing chairs, ring ropes and guardrails, the pair was led by Bill Alfonso, who blew hard on his whistle while his crown jewels flew through the air. Their stunning bout against The Eliminators at Cyberslam 1997 paved the way for WWE’s TLC Matches, marking just one example of RVD’s trailblazing style.
Van Dam wasn’t just good, he was spectacular. And he knew it. By mid-1997, the self-proclaimed “Mr. Monday Night” had jumped ship to join Jerry “The King” Lawler in a crusade on Raw to end all things extreme. He eventually returned to ECW, and while he didn’t completely abandon his cocky ways, he was fully embraced by the outspoken fans. RVD captured the ECW Television Championship and held it for an astonishing 700 days – nearly two full years. He never even lost the title, only relinquishing it due to serious injury. But it wasn’t the last championship gold to go around Van Dam’s waist.
Upon his return to WWE in 2001, Mr. Monday Night took sports-entertainment by storm, winning the Intercontinental Championship and then unifying it with the European and Hardcore Championships. He also captured the WWE Tag Team Championship with Rey Mysterio, and the World Tag Team Championship with both Kane and Booker T. But that wasn’t enough for the brash Van Dam.
At WrestleMania 22, RVD achieved arguably his greatest WrestleMania moment when he defeated five other Superstars to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. True to his persona, Van Dam made the unorthodox choice of announcing his earned championship match ahead of time, declaring it would be at ECW One Night Stand inside an emotionally charged Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The rowdy Big Apple crowd was firmly in Mr. Pay-Per-View’s corner as he pinned John Cena to win the WWE Championship in one of the most memorable moments in WWE history.
RVD’s WWE Championship win also marked the relaunch of the beloved ECW brand, which Van Dam led as one of the ECW Originals over the following year. He finally was presented with the ECW Championship, a title he never held in the promotion’s previous incarnation. But as the landscape in ECW began to change around Van Dam, he soon departed WWE.

Rob Van Dam returns at Money in the Bank
The results of WWE Payback
The Kickoff match was basically the pre-show which was Sheamus def. Damien Sandow. Then the first match of the night was when Curtis Axel def. The Miz and Wade Barrett to become the new IC champion. Then the next match was the bitter and personal diva rivalry when AJ Lee def. Kaitlyn to become the new Divas champion. Then a match that was made official on Raw Dean Ambrose def. Kane. Then they showed an awesome promo of the RETURN of Rob Van Dam! Then with Dolph Ziggler out of action for about a month he defended the world heavyweight title against Alberto Del Rio. Alberto Del Rio def. Dolph Ziggler to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Then they had the best in the world vs the best in the world. CM Punk def. Chris Jericho. Then after the match in the locker room CM Punk told Paul Heyman that he's not his client and that they're just friends. He said Curtis Axel and Brock Lesnar need Paul Heyman. Then we went into The Shield def. Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton for the tag team titles. Then it was the brutal 3 stages of Hell match between Ryback and John Cena. Ryback won the 1st stage which was the Lumberjack match. John Cena won the 2nd stage which was a tables match. And in the end John Cena won the Ambulance match to beet Ryback in the 3 stages of Hell match!

Latest on Christians return
Christian is set to return sometime soon. WWE says they need to find a storyline to fit him into. It might take a while but they want him back before Money in the Bank and they want him to become a 3 time World Heavyweight champion in the early part of 2014. I think they should also give him another Intercontinetal championship run mabey beating Curtis Axel at Summerslam of something sort of like that. I think they need Christian back since he was one of the major superstars in 2011 and he's been gone for quite a long time. Last year he returned from injury at Over the Limit which I believe was in June. But Christian should be returning shortly after Payback!
Payback predictions.
These are just my personal opinions of who I think will win at Payback. Don't hate me because "my prediction is stupid" because its not and neither is yours. You could post a comment telling me your predictions.
1. John Cena Def. Ryback (Cena wins first stage Ryback wins 2nd and Cena wins 3rd)
2. Dolph Ziggler def. Alberto Del Rio
3. Chris Jericho def. CM Punk (Paul Heyman turns his back on CM Punk. CM Punk turns face)
4. Curtis Axel def. The Miz and Wade Barrett
5. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns def. Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan
6. Dean Ambrose def. Kane
7. AJ Lee def. Kaitlyn
8. Sheamus def. Damien Sandow
Again this is just my personal list.
WWE Payback questions
Payback is coming up this sunday. But their are a lot of questions that people have been asking about Payback so here they are!
1. How will the ring rust affect both Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk? This is a very hard question to answer since no one actually knows how Payback will turn out but one thing we do know is that Dolph Ziggler will for sure be at Payback, as for CM Punk, we don't know for sure if he will just go as a no-show
2. What new champions will be crowned? Personally I think only the Divas and the Intercontinetal championships.
3. How will Randy Orton and Daniel Bryans partnership play out? They have defeated The Shield via a DQ on Smackdown but the fact that this time it is for the Tag team championships its hard to say yes to Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton
4. Can John Cena and Ryback entertain but still go through all 3 stages? I think if they want a 5 star match they are going to have to have it go through all 3 stages but still make it an entertaining match no doubt!
5. Will CM Punk no-show Pay per view? This has been on everyones mind. I think the match will happen but Paul Heyman will screw CM Punk out of the match and at the end Chris Jericho will hit a code breaker to Paul Heyman.
6. Is Curtis Axel becoming the next Brock Lesnar? Well yes and no...Yes WWE is hyping him at a Brock Lesnar level but no because Curtis Axel is not a powerhouse
7. Is this Curtis Axels moment? Yes it is I think he will win the IC title and win MITB next month.
